Thank you so much for your note this morning in response to my poem yesterday, and thanks for your affirmation of the poem. It means so much to share my writing with people I care about and receive feedback as to how the poetry affects them. Your comments were spot-on about that day and its emotions. I still thank God for that little girl and that mockingbird. I honestly don’t know how I would have gotten through that day and the next ones without them.
I am so impressed with your spiritual writing about your plants. What a wonderful metaphor for your own life at this moment in time, for the very real days and tasks that occupy you, and for the strength and vitality of your and their relationship to God and God’s faithful “enwrapping” of you, your work, and your learning to live without Tim’s earthly presence. It’s a beautiful piece of writing, and I love having the pictures so that I can see your beloved plants that now, I’m sure, mean even more to you than they did before you wrote about them!
Please continue to share your writing with me, either via your blog or just via email. I love keeping up with you and your amazing life. And I love reading your writing.
